FIELD: transport engineering; motorcycles. SUBSTANCE: proposed flexible member consists of two tandem-connected coil springs. Upper springs can be previously compressed to a solid state on rod and be arranged between upper end piece and support plate, both thrusting against lockrings. Upper spring works only in compression. Travel of free end of upper spring along rod is limited by lockring. Lower spring is connected both with movable and fixed parts of fork through lower and upper end pieces. Upper end piece acts onto upper spring at compression stroke, and permits the work in tension at end of rebound stroke. EFFECT: improved performance owing to provision of progressive characteristic of fork flexible member and working of lower spring in tension at end of rebound stroke. 1 dwg
