FIELD: chemical industry, more particularly preparation of zeolites. SUBSTANCE: mother liquor resulting from crystallization of high-modulus type Y zeolite and containing 30-60 g/l of SiO2 is mixed with finely dispersed crystalline silicon production waste (with particle size of (0,05-2,0)×10-6 m, water is added optionally and sodium aluminate solution is then added. All the components of reaction mixture are mixed in such amounts as to attain molar ratio of oxides of 2.6-3.3 Na2O•Al2O3 (10-12) SiO2 250-300 H2O in reaction mixture. Colloidal seed crystals are added to mixture in amount of 2-5 vol %, and mixture is crystallized at 95-100 C to form type Y zeolite with 100% degree of crystallinity and modulus of 5.3-6.5. Said zeolite is separated from mother liquor, washed and dried. Mother liquor is recycled into process. Invention makes it possible to prepare high- modulus type Y zeolite by direct synthesis (modulus 5.3- 6.5) and utilize mother liquor resulting from synthesis of zeolite and finely dispersed crystalline silicon production waste. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method.
