FIELD: fire protection equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves ensuring increased density and fire protection of flange connections of air ducts, covering air ducts and hangings by layer, which height depends on required level of fire protection, simultaneous production of continuous, dense, and strong jacket, which is uniformly pressed against air duct surface and hangings, maintaining and reinforcing said jacket in places, where air ducts pass through walls, floors, and by stuffing slots where air ducts are adjacent to house constructions. In addition, method involves mounting stiffening and heat distribution ribs inside air ducts at intersections of walls and floors. Flange connections are sealed by means of stripes of pressed ceramic or mineral fiber material. Rectangular flanges are additionally sealed by heat-proof compound at corners and by additional stiffening members. Adjacent plates and mats are connected to labyrinth packing and pressed against surfaces of air ducts by means of welded pins with pressing washers. In points, which are difficult of access, pressing (loading) members are additionally installed over accessible air duct walls. In addition, method involves reinforcing surface of layer, seams and joints by means of grid and foil, stuffing gaps in places, where air ducts pass through walls and floors, fire protection of hangings and narrow slots between air ducts and house constructions by means of non-combustible fiber material. In addition, inner volume of air ducts at intersections of walls and floors and at large air ducts planes is equipped with profiled stiffening and heat distribution ribs.
