FIELD: thermal engineering. SUBSTANCE: water used as heated medium is supplied to heat-transfer units in amount sufficient to ensure its boiling. Water boiling process enhances heat-transfer coefficient and heat flux capacity. Steam- liquid flow produced in the process is mixed up with water fed from main line with initial temperature conditions. In the course of mixing, steam condenses and water obtained enters next heat-transfer unit; then process is repeated. Vacuum created in mixing chamber provides for forced discharge of steam released from heat-transfer surface and for additional increase in heat-transfer coefficient. EFFECT: augmented heat transfer; rated conditions of working media ensured during operation of heat exchanger. 2 cl, 1 dwg
