FIELD: optical instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: method and device may be used in measurement technology with the aid of optoelectronic instruments. Device has laser radiation source and receiver introduced inside part to be checked, and electromechanical system designed to move part being checked and/or information reading facility along threaded connection being checked and to turn it to other angular position. Device also includes personal computer for data processing and motion signal delivery to electromechanical system. The method and device makes it possible to check nonuniformity of internal thread wear of loaded parts and to determine place and degree of wear of definite turn performed in process of pipeline repair with the aid of optoelectronic head provided with linear-and-angular movement pickup and its outputs are connected to unit of information primary processing.
