SUBSTANCE: device for oral care, for example a toothbrush, comprises a flexible head made of a plurality of flexibly connected segments made from rigid material and separated by a channel comprising an elastomeric material. The elastomeric cleaning element comprising a base part and an upper part, extends from the front surface of the head. Also, the elastomeric cleaning element extends from the elastomeric material of the channel and is connected to it so that the main part covers the part of each of the front surfaces of the segments on opposite sides of the channel. In another embodiment, the invention may represent an elastomeric cleaning element regardless of the type of head in which it is built-in. In another embodiment, the base part may be tapered.
