FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying gamma-scintigraphy with 99mTC-labeled erythrocytes injured due to heating. γ-radiation maximum activity time in the spleen area and hepatosplenic index value are determined. Sequestration function of the spleen is evaluated from activity-time curve. Functioning splenic red pulp quantity is determined through hepatosplenic index. Tmax-radiation maximum activity time being equal to 90 ± 30 min and the hepatosplenic index being equal to 94%, sequestration function of the splenic red pulp is judged to be normal. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and high information capacity of the method. 1 tbl
