FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes addition of aluminum into melt after oxidative and reductive smelting periods are completed. Aluminum is added in the form of blocks with cast iron crust containing 10-12% aluminum at ratio of contained therein carbon and aluminum 1:(2.7-3.0) and consumption of blocks 0.50-0.65 kg per 1 t steel. EFFECT: improved quality of steel, increased assimilation and stabilized content of aluminum in steel. 1 tbl
