FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: raw material is diluted with desulfurized hydrocarbon gas and brought into contact with zeolite-containing alumino-cobalt-molybdenum catalyst containing, %: zeolite, 15-45; ZSM-11 with silica-to-alumina molar ratio, 17-60; cobalt oxide, 2-6; molybdenum oxide, 8-14; and binding agent, the balance. Process is carried out under pressure 1.5-2.0 MPa to give catalyzate containing aromatic C3-C5-hydrocarbons and C1-C2-hydrocarbons in amount not exceeding 1 wt.%. Hydrocarbon fraction useful as anti- knock additive or high-octane gasoline and liquefied C3-C4-hydrocarbons are then separated from catalyzate.
