FIELD: lighting engineering. SUBSTANCE: in correspondence with invention one electrode of lamp is placed in series with DC supply circuit of inverter of electron starting and adjusting gear while connection of the other electrode and discharge gap of lamp remain same: electrode is linked in series with initiation unit of electron starting and adjusting gear and discharge gap is connected in parallel to it. Advanced heating of first electrode is conducted by charge current of smoothing capacitor and second electrode is heated through capacitor of initiation unit. This invention can also be used in electron starting and adjusting gears with cold initiation. EFFECT: automatic disconnection of supply when electron starting and adjusting gear runs idle for lack of lamp or if lamp suffers loss of pressure. 1 dwg
