FIELD: means of air disinfection in rooms with the use of ultra-violet radiation made in the form of one or several "ozoneless" mercury low-pressure lamps with an internal coating, absorbing ozone spectrum within 150 to 185 nm. SUBSTANCE: the irradiation chamber is provided with protective screens in the form of labyrinth- like arranged partitions at the inlet and outlet, and its cross-section exceeds the cross-section of the source of ultra-violet radiation by 10 to 30 times. On the inner side the casing walls have a combination coating of a sound-absorbing layer of foamed polyethylene and a reflecting screen of aluminium foil.
