FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air decontaminators. Proposed device comprises casing with its inner surface coated with combined coat made up of noise absorbing layer from foamed polyethylene and reflecting layer from aluminium foil. Said casing accommodates filter, fan, first shutter grid, mercury gas-discharge low-pressure lamps inclined at angles turned to casing axis at 15-60 degrees, and second shutter grid, all being arranged successively from inlet to outlet.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of decontaminating, longer life of gas-discharge lamps.
