FIELD: pouring melt metal to mold of continuous casting plant. SUBSTANCE: immersible nozzle includes first tubular portion and second portion with elongated cross section. Intermediate portion has wide sides and recess in the form of tube segment. Main axis of tube segment is arranged in parallel relative to wide side of intermediate portion. Bridge covering upper edges of wide sides may be inclined by angle 0-40 deg. In second portion of nozzle between wide sides there is narrowed zone arranged under first portion. When metal achieves second portion of nozzle it is realized throttling of metal. If there is enlarged zone in second portion, melt metal flows out at rate whose vector in central portion is less than that in narrowed zones. EFFECT: reduced turbulence of melt metal. 9 cl, 5 dwg
