Set has cloth feeder with cloth first folder, cloth second folder, thus forming cloth tube, device for separating first lapel from second lapel below to form aperture between lapels, device for driving in coil spring, device for overlapping aperture at second lapel located under first lapel and device for relative connection of overlapped first and second lapels. Method of forming chains of coil springs consists in folding of stretched cloth for the first time, folding of cloth for the second time with forming of cloth tube, transportation of cloth tube in longitudinal direction across set for diving in coil spring and fitting the compressed spring in space formed in tube, conveying cloth tube to support rod simultaneously closing aperture in tube and relatively connecting lapels to form lap joint.
