FIELD: consumer goods. SUBSTANCE: single mat has coiled springs 30 arranged so as to form single carcass 20 of mat having first section 46 sized to accommodate first sleeping person and provided with coiled springs 30' for exerting first selected compression force. Second section 52 is disposed adjacent to first section, sized to accommodate second sleeping person and has coiled springs 30'' for exerting compression force different from that of coiled springs 30'. Such construction allows mats with single carcass 20 to be manufactured, and such mat has sections 46,52 of different rigidity allowing two persons having different mat rigidity requirements to sleep on single mat.
