FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: material is exposed to radiation. Distribution of intensity of reflected radiation is measured. Maxima and minima in distribution of reflected radiation are found and their distances one from another are determined in eight or more directions. Proposed system has at least one radiation source for irradiation of particles, one unit as minimum measuring radiation reflected from particles and at least one evaluation unit. Evaluation unit is capable of determination of maxima and minima of intensity from distribution of intensity of reflected radiation and distances between them in eight or more directions.
