RADAR SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2155354 C1

FIELD: radio detection and ranging. SUBSTANCE: radar system has an antenna unit series-connected to the microwave channel via a contactless rotary adapter, transmitting module and receiving module comprising a coupling and synchronizing unit, and a computer indicator with a radar-processor plate. The antenna has a slot radiator installed in a spaced relation to the walls of the forming horn. The space is filled with dielectric. Located at the horn output is a printing polarizing filter, with a polarization rotator placed between it and a mirror reflector. The transmitting module generates pulse signals of the millimeter wave band, whose duration is within 0.035 to 2.0 μs, and synchronizing pulse signals, whose trailing edge coincides with the front edge of the signals reflected from the target and received and processed by the receiving module, which has a low-noise input amplifier and an additional channel of automatic frequency control with a separate mixer; the coupling and synchronizing unit has a series-connected communication channel connected to the computer indicator via a tie-in and switching unit, and is connected to the transmitting and receiving modules. EFFECT: enhanced range, angular coordinate and noise immunity resolution. 3 cl, 3 dwg
