FIELD: production of cooled nontoxic gases from high-temperature combustion products, thermolysis. SUBSTANCE: method consists in passing of high-temperature gas mixture produced by combustion of any composition through combined unit of simultaneous oxidation-reduction-cooling for combined oxidation-reduction- cooling before coming to required volume or to ambient atmosphere. Oxidation-reduction-cooling are conducted in combination on activated granulated aluminum oxide and granulated zeolites taken with respect to high-temperature gas in ratio of 1:(0.05-0.85):(0.5-1.5). Sizes of granules and weight content of aluminum oxide and zeolites are selected depending on flow rate and thermodynamic temperature of gas mixture. Device for method embodiment has combined unit of common simultaneous oxidation-reduction- cooling of gases and consisting of at least one immovable layer of granulated aluminum oxide and at least one layer of granulated zeolite. Said layers are separated at least by one fixed constant free space. In this case, each layer of granulated activated aluminum oxide and zeolite is separated by at least two metal nets-lattices. Sequence of layers and sizes of particles of granulated aluminum oxide and zeolite are selected depending on gas initial temperature. Combined unit is located in heat-insulated body provided with holes for gas inlet and outlet. EFFECT: production of cooled nontoxic mixture of gases or aerosol. 18 cl, 5 tbl
