FIELD: road building. SUBSTANCE: proposed sectional reinforced concrete pavement has track inter-rail, inter-track and wayside reinforced concrete placed to form joints by their end face sides and provided with chamfers on lower parts of sides, and with sealing devices. Novelty is that plates rest on rubber linings placed on under-rail base. Rectangular projections are made on, upper parts of plate end face sides. One of projections carries ridge, and the other is provided with recess, ridge and recess forming locks of adjacent plates. Sealing device is made in form of rubber bars placed in compressed state between rails and plate sides. Bars, in cross section, have curvilinear surfaces at one side changing into projections in lower part. Length of bars is equal to length of plates between butt joints. Cutouts are made in lower parts of bar ends. Methods of assembling includes preparation of base, laying of plates to form butt-joints and sealing of clearances. Novelty is that plates are laid in two steps. First, plates are laid with space left in between, and during the second step spaces filled up with other plates so that projection of plate in space thrust at acute angle against previously laid plate with fixing the plates in this position. End of following laid plate is lifted and then the ends of both plates are synchronously lowered.
