FIELD: remote sounding of the Earth surface from space vehicles and aviation carriers of various classes for measurement of optophysical parameters of objects. SUBSTANCE: the device has the first and second linear polarizers (1,2), which jointly with optical wedge 3 and circular polarizer 4 are rigidly installed in turret assembly 9 secured on the shaft of turning motor 10, and light filter 5, objective lens 6, multielement radiation detector 7 are installed in succession and optically interconnected. Turret assembly 9 with turning motor 10, light filter 6, detector 7 make up an optical unit, which is installed in housing 11. Housing 11 is provided with a joint assembly rigidly coupled to discrete turning mechanism 12. Detector 7 via analog-to-digital converter 8 is connected to internal storage 13. The polarimetric device, with low dimensional and weight parameters and low amount of the element base, provides for increasing the accuracy of measurements by N times, where N-number of angular measurements, which makes it possible to provide identification of objects with superclose parameters and obtain data on microphysical structural features of objects.
