FIELD: removal of gasses from liquids. SUBSTANCE: method and device are used for degassing of transformer oil. Oil bubbles are formed in liquid oil being treated. Oil is delivered in stream, by successive injections into oil-receiving evacuated reservoir 3. Reservoir 3 is made as cylinder and positioned vertically in evacuated body 1. Reservoir 3 is provided with through holes at height of walls 5. Oil delivery is accompanied by formation of film and by twisting of running-oil flow. Oil film mixed with foam of oil bubbles flows to bottom of reservoir 3 helically and interacts by its internal surface with vacuum of body 1 through holes 4. Oil bubbles come out of reservoir 3, and part of them gets destroyed. Oil bubbles and oil drops caught by given off gases pass to oil baffle 10. Oil separated from gaseous fraction is accumulated on surface of oil-flow splitter 11, and it runs down from it through space 14 and slots 15 to lower part of body 1. Gas bleeder 12 balances pressure in upper and lower parts of body 1 and brings separated gaseous fractions of admixtures outside. Oil is pumped out through outlet 13.
