FIELD: sorbents and catalysts in petroleum processing and petrochemical industry. SUBSTANCE: silicon, aluminum, alkali and water sources are mixed and resulting mixture is held at temperature equal to zeolite crystallization temperature under hydrothermal conditions for specified period. Zeolite-containing suspension is then cooled by 9-14 C at rate 3-7 C/h and held at lowered temperature for 3 to 10 h with no loss in crystallinity of zeolite. After that, suspension is further cooled at rate 12-15 C/h. EFFECT: increased crystallinity and adsorption capacity of zeolite and increased yield of zeolite. 2 cl, 1 tbl
