FIELD: foundry and metallurgy of non-ferrous metals and alloys, namely processes for remelting small-size waste materials of non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and zinc. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of loading flux to melting chamber for receiving layer with thickness consisting 0.5-0.8 of chamber height and introducing electrodes; after melting and superheating flux by 150 C-180 C more than its melting temperature introducing receptacle into melt by depth consisting 0.2-0.7 of height of melting chamber; before immersing filling receptacle until level equal to 0.2-0.6 of its height with liquid flux having density exceeding that of metal melt at least by 0.3g/cub. cm and with layer of melt metal whose thickness consists at least 0.2 of height of receptacle. After immersing receptacle and equalizing temperature of melt, chips are introduced into it. Metal accumulated on bottom of melting chamber is settled in rest for 15-60 min and it is cast to ingot molds. EFFECT: enhanced quality of ready metal. 2 cl, 1 tbl
