FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: arsenic, antimony, copper, and iron are removed from solutions by the aid of alkali metal sulfide containing 5-9 g/l sodium hydroxide and 100-120 g/l sodium sulfide, the latter being consumed in amount 150-170% of amount stoichiometrically required for precipitation of antimony, arsenic, copper, and iron(III).
