FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, possibly processing zinc- and indium-containing materials for making finely dispersed indium powder. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of conversion of indium-containing component to salt compound; processing salt compound with additional matter for receiving deposit; washing out received deposit; subjecting washed out deposit to drying; using as additional matter solution of hydrochloric acid with concentration 0.1 - 0.4 g/l at relation In : Hcl = (1 - 2)x103 : 1. EFFECT: simultaneous production of indium powder with optimal fraction size, possibility of incorporating indium powder production process to structure of zinc plant. 2 tbl
