FIELD: hydrometallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recovering indium from zinc sulfate solutions to produce indium-reach organics, from which indium is reextracted. Re-extraction is accomplished by washing indium-reach organics with aqueous solution containing 10-30 g/l sulfuric acid at organic-to-aqueous phase ratio (5-10):1. EFFECT: reduced impurities in reextract and increased recovery of indium in commercial produce. 1 tbl
