FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: in agreement with proposed technique of ultrasonic measurement of level of liquid time of transmission of acoustic ultrasonic pulse over acoustic line mounted vertically inside vessel from radiator to detector is measured. Acoustic signal is excited by piezoceramic radiator positioned inside float floating on surface of liquid and embracing coaxially acoustic line through which alternating electric current and synchronization pulses ensuring correspondingly induction supply and synchronization of piezoceramic radiator pass. EFFECT: simplified design and reliability of system measuring levels of liquids, heavy oil products included, in large vessels which height exceeds ten meters. 1 dwg
