FIELD: measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises measuring liquid level by measuring the time it takes for acoustic ultrasonic pulse to pass from the emitter to the receiver through the vertical sound duct mounted inside the vessel. The receiver is mounted at the top of the sound duct. The emitter is mounted inside the float at the surface of the liquid and coaxially embraces the sound duct through which the alternating current passes that provides inductive power supply and synchronization. The ultrasonic pulses are excited by several piezoelectric emitters: calibrating member rigidly connected at the bottom end of the sound duct and measuring floats at the interface by separating the operation of the emitters in time with respect to the moment of the end of alternating current supply through the sound duct. The liquid level is determined from the formula proposed.
