FIELD: measuring technique and may be used in the systems of measuring the level and density of oil products and other liquids including highly explosives.
SUBSTANCE: the arrangement has an acoustic duct 3,dropped down into the reservoir with controlling liquid with fixation relatively to the bottom of the reservoir 1. The other end of the acoustic duct is connected with a receiver-transmitter 6 of the ultrasonic signal. Two floats 8 and 12 freely travel relatively to the acoustic duct. Constructive execution of the floats ensures their liaison with each other and does not interfere in their free travel relatively to each other and to the acoustic duct. The floats interact with the surface of the acoustic duct with the help of mechanical paddy contacts 10 and 16. Due to different geometry the floats submerge into the liquid to different depth and the magnitude of this difference depends of density of the liquid. Ultrasound echo-signals reflected from places of touching of spring-loaded contacts carry useful information which together with data about the geometry of the both floats and the length of the strip of the acoustic duct is used for definition of the density of the liquid. Measuring the level of the liquid may be executed with the help of one of the floats. At that received meaning of density allows to bring corrections in the meaning of the level of the liquid.
EFFECT: simplification as of the arrangement itself and so of the algorithm of processing received information about the level and density of the controlled liquid.
