FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying electrolytic composite coating having nickel as basic ingredient covering the metal cathode base. The coating has 30-45 % by mass of dispersed graphite and carbon black particles mixed in 0.8:1.2 - 1.0-1.5 proportion. The coating is treated with a solution containing 150-180 g/l of hydrochloric acid and 0.01-0.03 g/l of thiourease. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of power supply sources. 4 tbl
