FIELD: engine manufacture. SUBSTANCE: device has input voltage supply and capacitor connected to electrodes in parallel with spark gap; novelty is that capacitor plates are made in the form of step-up transformer windings each being, essentially, strip conductor expanding towards location of spark gap; conductors are coaxially wound about common axis; they are separated by insulator and magnetically intercoupled so that external conductor forms primary winding; on one end, such windings are combined and on other end secondary lead is connected to central electrode of spark gap. Various modifications of device are proposed, such as those with hollow core in the form of connector for quantity- produced spark plugs, flexible-core devices incorporating provision for producing them in the form of cable apart from provision for using quantity- produced spark plugs in them. So, proposed device combines functions of capacitor, step-up transformer, and high-voltage conductors. EFFECT: reduced high-voltage power loss, increased power of discharge. 9 cl, 8 dwg
