FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed ignition system has supply source, controller with measuring input, final stage including at least one electronic switch to control ignition coil, ignition coil with primary and secondary windings and instrument capacitor connected to high-tension circuit of ignition coil, and spark plug. Ignition coil is provided with additional diode connected between terminal of instrument capacitor and output lead of ignition coil primary winding connected to supply source pole.
