SUBSTANCE: proposed ignition coil has core made up of electrical steel laminations, external open magnetic screen and flat measuring capacitor. Proposed coil differs from known ones in layout and provision of additional magnetic screen between measuring capacitor and core which reduces Foucault current losses.
