FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; spark ignition systems; ignition coils provided with transmitter generating signal stating condition of burning process in engine combustion chamber. SUBSTANCE: ignition coil has core, primary winding, secondary winding, diode, capacitor, low-voltage connector unit and high voltage output installed in housing. Primary and secondary windings are arranged around core. Secondary winding is installed ion housing by means of sectionalized dielectric frame. primary winding can also be arranged in this frame. capacitor plates are made in form of metallic open layers of dielectric material placed between windings and core and insulated from each other. Layers can be formed by thin-walled tubular members with through longitudinal slots. First winding plate is connected with information output located in low voltage connector unit. Second plate is connected by one end to diode cathode and by other end, to high voltage output terminal of coil made, in particular case, as socket of spark plug contact head. EFFECT: provision of ignition coil of compact design which can be installed direct onto spark plug in cylindrical channel of cylinder block head. 5 cl, 3 dwg
