FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves modeling NO synthesis and secretion by creating temporary local ischemia focus. To do it, blood vessel compression is carried out proximal with respect to the area under study in patients and in control group. Blood is taken and NO content is determined before and after blood vessel compression. Difference of values obtained from patients and data in the control group is calculated to make conclusions concerning vascular wall endothelium capacity to produce and secrete NO. NO content is evaluated from nitrate/nitrite concentration. To do it, the samples to be studied and reagents capable of transforming NO into nitrates/nitrites are prepared after taking blood. Calibration curve reflecting dependence of optical density on nitrates/nitrites concentration is built, and optical density of the produced samples is determined. Nitrates/nitrites concentration is calculated taking into account the calibration curve data. 3.8% sodium citrate solution is used as coagulant in taking blood. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of the method; low cost of examination. 2 cl
