FIELD: production of fiber and ship wood boards, veneer, wood plastics and laminated wood. SUBSTANCE: the hydraulic platen press has upper and lower fixed cross-beams braced by columns and a movable cross-beam placed between them. The lower fixed cross-beam is made in the form of several separate sections corresponding to the quantity of operating cylinders, whose rams are made as stepped ones with a short stroke not exceeding the press working stroke. In each ram of the operating cylinder provision is made for a central through hole receiving a spacer made in the form of a lift cylinder, and installed under it is an additional cross-beam coupled with the lower cross-beam and fastened to the ram of the lift cylinder. A restraining arm is installed at the end of the lesser diameter of the operating cylinder ram. EFFECT: improved operating characteristics of press, reduced cost. 5 dwg
