FIELD: metallurgy, more precisely, technology of pig iron smelting in blast furnaces. SUBSTANCE: method includes charging into blast furnace of burden consisting of coke, iron ore materials and ferrite- calcium flux containing SiO2 from 1 to 7%, total Fe of not less than 50% with CaO/Fe2O3 ratio ranging from 0.15 to 0.55. Additionally introduced into burden composition is nut coke in amount of 10-20% if charge coke weight in mixture with ferrite-calcium flux. This mixture is charge by 2nd and 3d skips. Method of supply of ferrite-calcium flux in mixture with nut coke produces favorable effect on gas dynamic of burden material column, reducing conditions of iron oxides and slag formation processes and promotes intensification of metallurgical processes in decisive zone of blast furnace. EFFECT: higher technical-and-economic indices and efficiency utilization of nut coke. 2 tbl, 1 ex
