INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE TEST STAND Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2157516 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; testing facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention makes it possible to enlarge engine serviceability investigation range at changing of intake and outlet parameters and investigate serviceability of engine operating on artificial gas mixture. Stand has two diesel engines. Inlet of engine to be tested is connected with outlet of second diesel engine through device simulating conditions at tested engine inlet by means of pipelines and shutoff and control members. Inlet of second engine communicates with atmosphere. Simulators has artificial mixture preparation systems: thermolysis circuit consisting of module of adsorbers connected through exhaust gas cooler and regulating valve with mixer, and sodium perchlorate based oxygen generator connected through pressure regulator and regulating valve with mixer, and hydrolysis circuit consisting of sodium superoxide based oxygen generator with controlled supply of water from reservoir by means of circulating pump connected by oxygen line with contact cooler and by alkali line, through separating reservoir, by pump with high-speed neutralizer which, in its turn, is connected with contact cooler through phase separator. EFFECT: enlarged investigation range. 1 dwg
