FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves mowing and grinding underground buds; removing non- commercial licorice parts and black head part; undercutting root layer of soil; extracting roots and rootstocks from undercut layer; laying root mass onto day side of strip; harvesting root raw material; recultivating surface of harvested strip; providing shearing in vertical plane and undercutting in horizontal plane in lateral directions in continuous operating mode for preliminary deformation of these parts by performing partial lifting and lateral bending upon removal of blackhead part and destruction of top layer sod; providing further deformation of root layer by applying sign-variable moments of deflection to layer parts in direction of performed operations. Root extraction is performed by high-frequency impact action. EFFECT: increased yield of commercial root mass and reduced power consumption. 10 dwg
