FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: rotor relates to equipment intended for separation of liquid mixture into fractions in field of centrifugal forces. Rotor of centrifugal separator accommodates circular piston for opening and closing of peripheral slots 12 and 13 in separating chamber 9. Piston 6 is coupled to lower part 1 of body with its radial internal edge and fixed axially relative to it. Piston is provided with circular projection 11 which is movable axially with respect to rotor body. This is obtained due to the fact that piston is made flexible in its circular section 6e of considerable radial extension. EFFECT: reduced cost, enhanced reliability. 9 cl, 3 dwg
