RAIL FASTENING ON WOODEN BASE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; permanent way. SUBSTANCE: proposed rail fastening has metal baseplate, plate-holding and main spikes and U-shaped yoke straddling metal baseplate in width. Part of inner surface of yoke flange engages with heads of main spikes. Slot for enclosing part of rail foot is provided on each end of this yoke. At least one edge forming the slot is bent inwards. Yoke, at side opposite to slot, is made for locking on rib of metal baseplate. EFFECT: prevention of axial displacement of rail in service without use of special devices-anchors. 2 dwg
