FIELD: railroad transport. SUBSTANCE: rail fastening device on wooden base relates to components of track structure. Introduced into rail fastening device is appliance for automatic fixation in axial direction of main spikes. Fastening device is made from rod material in the form of U-shaped clamp and open rectangle in plan. Opened ends of rectangle and side opposite to these ends are located under rail foot. Side members of device are engageable with heads of main spikes. The invention prevents disturbing of spikes during operation of railroad track and protects rail from its axial displacement without special devices in the form of rail anchors.
