FIELD: construction engineering; construction of fire doors. SUBSTANCE: fireproof door leaf has steel plates forming external surfaces of leaf, high-strength fireproof mineral wool insulation, and layers of adhesive mixture including fluid silicate of alkali metal and mineral powder. Leaf is provided with asbestos spacers placed between internal surfaces of steel plates and mineral wool insulation. Asbestos spacers are joined to plates and insulation by means of adhesive mixture layers. Adhesive mixture has blend of chalk and fly ash as mineral powder. Mineral wool insulation is made of slag wool. External surfaces of steel plates are covered with layer of fire-proofing paint. EFFECT: improved fire-retarding quality, simplified design, reduced weight and cost of fabrication. 4 cl, 2 dwg
