FIELD: refrigerating engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed separator consists of sections made from tubes having inner diameter of 152 mm and lesser which are interconnected by means of equalizing branch pipes. One vertical section is used as receiving section for liquid ammonia and other section is main one used for returning liquid ammonia to evaporation system. Horizontal sections mounted above vertical ones are provided with tubular heat exchangers, thus ensuring additional dehumidification of ammonia vapor due to subcooling of liquid ammonia and plate dissectors having holes or slots for smooth distribution of vapor in horizontal direction and cover brackets of arbitrary shapes which are located above outlet branch pipes of all sections. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separation of ammonia vapor from liquid phase and oil in suction lines of ammonia compressors. 3 dwg
