FIELD: chemical industry and manufacture of flying vehicles and cosmetic equipment. SUBSTANCE: sedimentometer is used to determine average particle size of ZrO₂ pigment and SiO₂ modifier. Concentration of modifier is chosen from equation wherein is average particle size of pigment; c_m is concentration of modifier of not higher than 7%. Modifier is applied onto pigment particles by stirring and firing. Resistance of modified pigment to irradiation effect is determined according to equation Δa_s = 0,032-0,129.
