METHOD OF COMPLEX REWORKING OF WASTES AFTER BURNING ORGANIC FUELS (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy; waste-free technology; production of product suitable for production of ferro-vanadium, as well as products containing nickel, iron, sulfur and magnesium suitable for further metallurgical reworking. SUBSTANCE: wastes are preliminarily palletized due to adding binder in form of bentonite or nontronite clay, thus obtaining pellets or granules which are dried in furnaces. Then, hardening oxidizing roasting is performed at temperature of from 750 to 900 C during 20 to 120 minutes at attaining roasting temperature range for 30 to 50 minutes and entrapping sulfur. According to second versions of proposed method, dried pellets or granules are subjected to reducing roasting with gas reductant at temperature of 770 to 850 C for 30 to 60 minutes; heating and cooling are performed in inert gas atmosphere. According to third version, dried pellets or granules are subjected to oxidizing roasting at addition of iron-ore pellets at ratio of 3:1 at temperature of from 900 to 1100 C for 20 to 40 minutes. In all versions hardened product is treated by pyrometallurgy methods and charge is crushed to particles not exceeding 0.3 mm.
