FIELD: manufacture of phosphate building materials; manufacture of fibrous molding materials and other articles with the use of metallophosphate binders. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes mixing orthophosphoric acid with metal oxides or hydroxides and organic reductant, heating this mixture to temperature of 95 to 105 C, keeping the mixture at this temperature for 35 to 40 min followed by cooling the mixture to surrounding temperature; when mixture is cooled to 80-40 C, ultra-dispersed titanium carbonitride powder in the amount of 0.01 to 0.05 weight-% is introduced at constant mixing till homogeneous state has been obtained. EFFECT: increased bending strength; enhanced stability of properties of molding materials produced with the use on metallophosphate binders. 2 tbl
