FIELD: extraction of vanadium from high calcium slags after converting vanadiumiron by monoprocess. SUBSTANCE: pulp of ground slag is treated with sulfuric acid before filtration and sulfatized slag is subjected to oxidizing roasting. Roasted slag is leached by sulfuric acid solubilizing vanadium for further settling in form of commercial V2O5. Optimal conditions of proposed method are: flow rate of sulfuric acid for treatment of pulp of ground slag in the amount of 5 to 15 % of mass of slag at maintenance of Hp of pulp between 8 and 9.5, roasting temperature of charge of from 800 to 1125 C and leaching roasting product with diluted sulfuric acid (1:1 to 3) within temperature range of from 25 to 50 C. EFFECT: increased of extraction of vanadium from high-calcium slag by 25% (from 50-60 to 75-85%). 2 tbl, 6 ex
