FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, vanadium production. SUBSTANCE: method involves crushing vanadium-containing raw materials, magnetic separation, grinding, mixing ground material with limestone, oxidizing roasting of feedstock material, leaching of roasted material, hydrolytic precipitation of vanadium to finally produce technical-grade vanadium pentoxide in form of paste. Novelty is that the method uses ash resulting from operation of thermal power generating plants. ash is mixed with limestone and additionally treated with water at solid-to-liquid ratio of 1:1.5-10, temperature 80 C, for 10-30 min.
