FIELD: biochemistry, phytopathology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to assay of fungal pathogens using specific primers in polymerization chain reaction. Method of detection of phytopathogenic fungus involves the following stages: isolation of DNA from plant leaf infected with pathogen, amplification of part of intron transcribing region of pathogen using isolated DNA as matrix and using polymerase chain reaction with specific primer and visualization of amplified part of intron transcribing region. Structure of some DNA molecules encoding intron transcribing sequence using for construction of oligonucleotide primers for detection of phytopathogenic fungus is determined. Primers for assay of phytopathogenic fungi are constructed. Quantitative colorimetric analysis for detection of phytopathogenic fungus is developed. Method ensures to detect phytopathogenic fungi, for example, Microdochium nivate, Septoria nodorum, Septoria tritici, Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides, Mycosphaerella fijiensis, Mycosphaerella musicola, Fusarium culmorum, Fusarium graminearum, Fusarium moniliform.
